Another way to make a talisman would be to carve a rune stave on a peice of wood saying what you want to happen as if it has already happened, and consecrate that. (Easiest to write English words in Old English runes rather than Elder Futhark) Depends on how good you are with runes though. You can also mix those approaches, ie, putting a small coin of wood with a Gebo(sex, exchange) or Wunjo (joy, love) or Ehwaz (partner) or a brindrune or something, and having that in the felt pouch with the rose. Multiple ways, and we're just getting started in this tradition, so experiment! (And use divination)
