“Ambivalence” nails it! I emailed a local Heathen group here in the Boise area a couple years ago, and received what was no doubt meant as an encouraging reply, but it had a “only one true way” vibe that just isn’t my thing. It came across a bit like the Presbyterian church of my childhood recollection. Been there, done that. Much prefer “You do you.”
