At some point, I'm going to have to really dig in to the Cabala, but it hasn't seemed to fit with the other stuff I've been studying/meditating on. This might give me a helpful starting place, since the Runes and mythology are more familiar to me.
Two comments: 1) In talking about Hod, you say that Odin got the mead of poetry from Thjazi. When I read this, I thought I had somehow missed something huge, as the myth of Thjazi's abduction of Idun is one I've meditated on quite a bit. Looking it up, it seems that the giant who has the mead of poetry is Suttung - are you making an intentional association there, or was that just a slip of the finger?
2) I'm especially interested to see the association between Beorc and Idun, as I have also made that association through meditation, even though "on paper" it seems like Beorc ought to have more to do with, say, Nerthus or Fjorgyn or the like. Fascinating to see someone else get to the same place!
